This service pack was replaced by newer updates. Service pack 1 for Office 2011 for Mac was released in April 2011. In addition to stability, security fixes and performance enhancements, there will be some new features, including improved syncing support. With SP1, users will be able to sync Outlook. To manage identities in Outlook 2011 for Mac, you must use the Microsoft Database Utility, which is installed as part of your Office installation. Open the Microsoft Database Utility. The default location is in /Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Office/Microsoft Database Utility. The 'On My Computer' mailbox is cluttering the folder organization in Outlook on my Mac. It's adding extra steps because I have to expand every folder to show me both my exchange and 'on my computer' mailbox. Now, when I go to my outlook database folder location: user/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity/ I see no contents. When I launch Outlook with the 'Option' key, I see 'Main Identity' as the only entry.

I don't think it's policy. I'm at least one build behind you on my mac (i don't check for updates very often:)) and will update to see if i can repro. I know some of the insider builds have been a bit buggy, so it could be a temp thing. I believe I might see the bug on my outlook - did not have the on my computer folders visible but when i looked in preferences, the option to hide was not selected.

They showed up when i closed the dialog. I normally keep them hidden as i use imap and exchange accounts and don't have anything in the local folders. I don't recall changing the Hide option. I'll try to repro with the new build.

Close Outlook, To open, double click on the icon while holding down the shift button. Upon opening, the outbox appears at the bottom on the folders column. Click on it and you can see it's contents. Hope that helps you or someone else looking for this answer. Have a good one! Although I don't use Outlook there is no point in an Out Box unless you are writing several different emails to different recipients and want to send them all at one time. In that case they are usually saved in the Draft folders for each account, that is if there is a Draft folder for each of the accounts and you have more then one account. I know that in the old Outlook express there was an Out box But that was for emails that Could Not Be sent at the time you hit the Send Button, like you weren't connected to the internet at that time. But in newer email programs, and for the fact that most everyone is always connected, that out box is MOOT. Hd player for mac download free. Maybe you are confusing the Sent Items folder with the Outbox?

I use Thunderbird on both Mac and PC and there is No Outbox in that email program either and I don't see any need to add one. Good Luck & Best Wishes. Thanks but no, i am not confusing my folders.

My 'send' information on my email setup was not correct and i did not realize a problem until i tried to send an email and i received the error message on the sending process. I needed to just copy the text from the email so i could do something will it and could not get to the email to open it because it was not in the draft folder and there was no outbox folder. The most recent outlook for PC has an outbox, the help menu on the Outlook for MAC describes that the message will be in the outbox until it is sent. So it doesn't make sense that there isn't a way to get it to show. Thanks anyway.
